BARA UNIT, to improve exploitation conditions of quays with vertical seawalls.
Once placed, a group of BARA units forms an inner chamber which, due to the particular design of each unit, is connected both laterally and vertically with the top and bottom rows. This way, the reflection on the seawall of the structure is reduced, due to the following facts:
§ Phase lag on the reflection damping.
§ Turbulences in the inner chamber.
§ Constriction of the water flow on the centre diaphragm.
§ Destruction of the orbital particle movement.
§ Phase lag with respect to the water level.
